3. Back View of Your Invention
For the back view, all of the main divisions are the same. Here are the points where it varies:
• The head is still an egg shape, but the height of the head is divided into three. The top two-thirds are used to make a circle to represent the cranium [from the Greek word for "skull"]. Shade the bottom third to signify that the jaw is receding.
• The opening in the front of the body between the ribs is not visible from the back. Therefore, connect together the two points of the chest cavity (the ones that represent the bottom of the ribs) with a line.
Notice that we are looking at the same thing (i.e.: the human body) from different angles. Again, we are building up the "invention" step-by-step so that we can change it around in our mind.
