Freedom from Pharmacopoeia (10/02/2024)
Content Warning: This is a story that deals openly with the topics of drug addiction, sexual abuse, and violence.
In order to face a problem squarely, we must be able to talk about it honestly, to be "real" about what is actually happening. If one spends enough time outside of Babylon, they become less hypnotized by its transitory "pleasures" and something very important becomes apparent...
Sincerely striving towards Virtue takes precedence over the "law of the land", and any "tradition" or "culture" that is inherited without careful consideration.
One aspect of this is the understanding that what is considered "legal" and "illegal" is often a matter of convenience for those who "benefit" most, even if it might not seem apparent. Thus, the "illicit trades" are "capitalism". It is no accident that things like prostitution and pornography are connected to human trafficking. They are the "product" and the "distribution network", while the other is the "assembly line". I won't dwell on the details. It isn't hard to pick at a thread until it completely unravels and one sees for themselves that the emperor has no clothes.
As another example, we will take the idea of weapons and drugs...I once described it to a friend like this:
Instead of seeing Scarface as a "nouveau riche" tragedy, it is glorified as something to aspire to. The "drug dealers" and "pimps" are "entrepreneurs". One uses his intelligence to manufacture a toxic product whose addictive effects generate "wealth" at the expense of their community. He is a chemist in a different context. The others' violence is predatorial, beating their "products" into submission after hooking them with "charisma".
If I am being completely forthright, my opinion of a lot of "modern medicine", and most of the chemical industries that lie adjacent to or intertwine with it, is the same (whether they be related to the processing of food, the production of weapons, drilling for oil, and so on). Like the previous example, the two often feedback into one another in various ways, the fentanyl "crisis" being a notable example within relatively recent history.
...But if you know how a tragedy ends, you genuinely pray that the characters involved transform before the final act. Watching the story unfold can be heartrending. With The Author guiding our pen, we can re-write the story towards a happy ending for everyone. How might we do that?
The World Health Organization (WHO) has a list of "essential medicines". Phase 1 requires us to find herbal equivalents for each of these purposes. Here are a few references that we've mentioned before elsewhere:
• The Herbal Medic by Sam Coffman
• Herbal Antibiotics by Stephen Harrod Buhner
• Herbal Antivirals by Stephen Harrod Buhner
Further, we must also get an understanding of:
• how food itself can be used for healing
• how herbs can address specific diseases that are common, like diabetes
• what the symptoms of malnutrition and dehydration are, and how to create Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) and the mixes for Oral Rehydration Therapy (ORT) to effectively treat those illnesses
Knowledge is power. Collect recipies for these types of healing substances. Share them with your friends and keep copies in safe places. Only evil tries to keep others perpetually dependent for the sake of controlling them.
Phase 2 is to learn how to transform inhospitable environments, whether that be deserts or inner city ghettos, so that these plants can be grown to heal everyone. Just be mindful of the effects of pollution on your harvest.
Now you know part of the plan. Run with it. You can't go back once you know the truth.
