Cleaning, Organizing, Decorating

This article is still being written...

Rough Outline

Cleaning dirt and grime off of things is different from organizing a space. Similarly, organizing is distinct from decorating. Consistently practicing all three of these skills (i.e.: cleaning, organizing, and decorating) makes a space enjoyable to be in.

Cleaning
+ Techniques (sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, etc.)
+ Surfaces by room (countertops in Kitchen, tile and fixtures in Bathroom, carpet in Bedroom, etc.)
+ Laundry Tips (e.g.: stain removal)

+ Homemade cleaning recipes (incl. deodorizers)
∟ Basic chemistry behind Alcohol, Hydrogen Peroxide, Vinegar, and Baking Soda
∟ Using things straight from Nature - like Salt, Citrus (Lemon, Orange), Peppermint, etc.

Midwest Magic Cleaning - This should be REQUIRED viewing before graduating high school!

Organizing
+ Categorizing specific types of items (e.g.: clothes and shoes in closet, books on bookshelf, etc.)
+ Sticking to a regular maintenance schedule (e.g.: for laundry)

Decorating
+ Lighting (Warm and Cold Lamps, Track Lighting, Dimmer Switches, Lamp Shades and Window Dressings)
+ Color Schemes
+ Furniture - comfort and function
+ Buying used furniture or salvaging it, then repairing and/or reupholstering

This latter section will cover very general considerations and ergonomics, not so much about personal style. That is up to you.
