Dispatches from the Wilderness
Hyperpapers* for the Pilgrim in a Land Unknown

"Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul." - 1 Peter 2:11 (NIV)

* Hyperpaper (ˈhaɪ pərˌpeɪ pər), noun - a research paper filled with in-text hyperlinks to related resources; implications of four-dimensionality, of interconnections across space and time; from the prefix "hyper-" meaning "beyond"

Description: These are sprawling explorations of society, especially the history behind various political and economic ideologies that seem prevalent, told through the lens of science, spirituality, and art. It will dance around the limits of reality, so much of these writings will naturally touch upon the abstract, theoretical, mythic, cultural, and some gentle critique of views that I may not personally hold. Yet, it is also intended to be non-fiction that points All towards ever increasing amounts of coherence, integration, and wholeness.

Content Warning: All of these hyperpapers are filled with difficult topics that are approached in a deeply personal way (i.e.: from my own experience / point of view, and with emphasis on the underlying psychology and sociology). It is fully open and honest, but comes from a place of care and consideration. A lot of it might be triggering, painful, or overwhelming, but I will sincerely try to write about it in a way that invites peaceful dialogue and that offers (hopefully realistic) strategies to heal whenever various problems are mentioned. Prose and praxis.

Not all problems have "easy answers" though, and we cannot begin to look for those answers if we are unwilling to even approach those subjects...
