• Kató Lomb - Polyglot: How I Learn Languages [Summary]
Comments: A "polyglot" is a person who speaks multiple languages. Kató Lomb was an interpreter of around 16 different languages.
• Frederick Bodmer - The Loom Of Language
Comments: This is a classic polyglot reference, particularly the wordlists that compare Romance Languages, Germanic Languages, and Greek Roots.

Comments: This is an online copy of the Common Vocabulary Dictionary of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean made by the Trilaterial Cooperation Secretariat. Here is just the wordlist from the same book. I will try to translate the example sentences and usage notes into English sometime in the near future.
